چکیده

Recent medical literature contains a number of case reports and series demonstrating the feasibility of this technology in many settings. These include mapping and ablation of tachycardias in the setting of complex congenital heart disease, more routine supraventricular tachycardias, and ventricular tachycardia. There has also been a small trial comparing transseptal versus retrograde aortic approaches to left-sided accessory pathways using RMT.

Feasibility of remote magnetic navigation for epicardial ablation

Percutaneous epicardial mapping and ablation is an emerging method to treat ventricular tachycardias (VT), premature ventricular complexes (PVC), and accessory pathways. The use of a remote magnetic navigation system (MNS) could enhance precision and maintain safety. This multiple case history demonstrates the feasibility and safety of the MNS-guided epicardial approach in mapping and ablation ...

Magnetic guidance system for cardiac electrophysiology: a prospective trial of safety and efficacy in humans.

OBJECTIVES We evaluated in humans the safety and efficacy of a novel magnetic guidance system (MGS) for electrophysiological mapping, pacing, and ablation. BACKGROUND Catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation and other complex arrhythmias requires precise catheter manipulation and stabilization. We have shown in animals that the MGS can precisely manipulate a mapping catheter within the heart ...

Initial experience with remote catheter ablation using a novel magnetic navigation system: magnetic remote catheter ablation.

BACKGROUND Catheters are typically stiff and incorporate a pull-wire mechanism to allow tip deflection. While standing at the patient's side, the operator manually navigates the catheter in the heart using fluoroscopic guidance. METHODS AND RESULTS A total of 42 patients (32 female; mean age, 55+/-15 years) underwent ablation of common-type (slow/fast) or uncommon-type (slow/slow) atrioventri...

Novel robotic catheter manipulation system integrated with remote magnetic navigation for fully remote ablation of atrial tachyarrhythmias: a two-centre evaluation.

AIMS Studies have shown that remote magnetic navigation is safe and effective for ablation of atrial arrhythmias, although optimal outcomes often require frequent manual manipulation of a circular mapping catheter. The Vdrive robotic system ('Vdrive') was designed for remote navigation of circular mapping catheters to enable a fully remote procedure. This study details the first human clinical ...

Single-catheter approach to radiofrequency current ablation of left-sided accessory pathways in patients with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome.

BACKGROUND Catheter ablation with the use of radiofrequency current has been introduced as a therapeutic option for patients with tachyarrhythmias mediated by an accessory atrioventricular pathway. The technique conventionally implies the introduction of several catheters into the heart for assessment of electrophysiological parameters as well as for localization of the accessory pathway and ma...
